What is Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD)

RLD is an award winning reflexology treatment that will focus on the lymphatic system and associated reflexes on the feet.

 

It was created and devised by Sally Kay BSc (Hons) for people living with secondary lymphoedema, whilst working in Cancer Care and especially for survivors of Breast Cancer. Lymphoedema is defined as tissue swelling due to the failure of lymph drainage. Research suggests that people with lymphoedema are more likely to suffer psychological and emotional distress. Lymphoedema can be a debilitating condition and currently has no cure.

 

The aim of RLD is to cause an effect on the lymphatic system in the body.

 

Similar to the effects of Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) which is used to treat conditions other that lymphoedema, RLD may be used similarly.

 

RLD and MLD may be useful for the following conditions:

Arthritis

Asthma

Eczema

Chronic Fatigue

Fibromyalgia

Lymphoedema

ME

Sinus problems

Migraines/Headaches

Muscular tension

Premenstrual Syndrome

 

Treatment time is 50 minutes, with the first treatment being a little longer as a full consultation is taken. and asked to sign a confidential consent form.
